What we collect

bambuu collects only what's necessary to run the app:

• Apple ID — if you sign in with Apple, we store your Apple ID to authenticate your account and sync your pet across devices.
• Pet data — your pet's name, personality, bond level, and interaction history. This is synced to our servers so your panda is safe if you change devices.

What we don't collect

• We do not read, store, or transmit your conversations with your pet.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

On-device AI

bambuu uses Apple's on-device AI (Apple Intelligence) and optionally Google's Gemma model, both of which run entirely on your device. When using on-device AI, your conversations never leave your iPhone.

If on-device AI is unavailable, bambuu may use a cloud-based fallback. In this case, only the text of your message is sent to generate a response — it is not stored or logged.

Data storage

Pet state data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest.

Guest mode

If you use bambuu in Guest Mode, no account is created and no data leaves your device.

Children's privacy

bambuu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Sign Out. To request complete data deletion, email us at bambuu@arsik.org.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
